No, in fact it’s the exact opposite. Even on a performance tune, If you drive the new tune hard then your fuel consumption will increase. If you drive your car in a normal manner, your fuel consumption will improve.

Re-mapping invalidating your vehicles warranty ?

Whilst it is highly unlikely, there is every possibility that a remap could invalidate your warranty.
